Discovering Theatre Summer Program

Aristocats Kids

June 4-July 1, 2012 for Grades K-4

 Madame’s jealous butler Edgar cat-naps Duchess and her Aristokittens and abandons them in the Parisian countryside. What’s a cat to do? Luckily, Thomas O’Malley and his rag-tag bunch of Alley Cats come to their rescue! This feline adventure is sure to get audiences tapping their feet to its hip, jazzy beat, which includes the Disney favorites “The Aristocats,” “Scales and Arpeggios,” and “Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat.”

This program runs four days a week for four weeks, Monday – Thursday from 9-4. The first week we will from 4 pm to 7 pm. This program is an open enrollment program, so all students who wish to participate will be cast in the show. There is a 150 student cap on the program and pre-registration is required. There will be two casts; each will perform in three performances. Tuition for this 4 week program is $275 (this includes snacks for each day, lunch is not provided).

Performance Dates: June 27, 28, 29 , 30 & July 1.

NEW Next Step Summer Program

Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr!

July 16 – August 18, 2012 for Grades 5-8

The Emmy® Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series is now the basis for one of the most fun & energetic musicals ever to hit the stage! The show’s revue-like structure allows for great characters to take the stage. With songs like “Conjunction Junction,” “The Preamble,” “Do the Circulation,” and “Interplanet Janet,” the cast and audience alike will learn as they listen to these upbeat and entertaining showtunes.

This new 5-8 grade program runs four days a week for five weeks, Monday – Thursday from 9-4. This program is an open enrollment program, so all students who wish to participate will be cast in the show. There is a 100 student cap on the program and pre-registration is required. There will be two casts, each will perform in three performances. Tuition for this 4 week program is $275 (this includes snacks for each day, lunch is not provided). Performance dates are: August 15, 16, 17, 18 & 19.
