VOLUNTEER

Are you interested in volunteering at the
Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre?

Here are some reasons to get involved:

Learn a new skill.  Woodworking, sewing, props, lighting — even ushering and ticket taking.  No experience is necessary to work in any area.
Act on the stage.  Professionals and amateurs are all invited to act at FMCT.
Make new friends.  Volunteering at FMCT is a great place to start a new friendship or even a relationship.  Make it a guys’ or gals’ night out.
Spend quality time with your family and friends or start a new tradition that will earn you tickets for the upcoming production in the process.
Community Service.  Earn your community service hours for school, or give back to your community through time, not money.
Sense of pride and accomplishment.  Bragging rights and seeing your work on stage! What could be more fulfilling?

What types of things can you volunteer to do?

Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre and the Children’s Studio Theatre provide volunteers with many varieties of entertainment, so you can chose which venue suits your needs.  We produce a least one show each month, sometimes two.
Check out our calendar for the upcoming season to see what shows you would like to volunteer for
Check out our facebook page, Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre Volunteers, for updated volunteer information.

Where do I start to get more information?

If you are new to the theatre, the best place to start is to contact one of the volunteer coordinators or our facebook page,  Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre – THEATRE.

FMCT Office Assistant and Assistant Volunteer Coordinator:  Cheryl Julien   cheryl@fmct.org
Costume Director and Volunteer Coordinator:  Shelly Hurt-Geist   shelly@fmct.org

Next, join the FMCT Mailing List.  You will begin to receive emails from the Volunteer Coordinators asking you to volunteer.  If you interested in the positions available please send back an email to confirm.

Finally, you may Sign Yourself Up for a volunteer position using ‘Sign-up Genius’ and show up at FMCT at the specified time and be trained by the appropriate crew chief.

How Much Time Must I Commit?

Each position page will have the time commitment listed in the description.  You can volunteer any amount from one hour to several days.  If you are in a production (either cast or crew), you can earn two free tickets for a preview performance of that production. Or, for every five hours you volunteer outside of rehearsal/performance time, you can earn one free ticket for a performance of that production.

I would like to volunteer for Ushering, I am already on volunteer list. I am changing my phone number so the only way to get hold of me is my email.
